In 2008 an independent company Mupotoon LLC, dedicated to making, producing and promoting the cartoon internationally, was founded in the US.

In 2009 the company released its pilot animated film “Barack Obama. The Secret of Nobel Peace Prize” which premiered in Oslo, Norway, on the day when the US President and the main character of the cartoon Barack Obama received a much debated Nobel Prize for Peace. The cartoon, which humorously dispelled the myths surrounding the unexpected decision of the Nobel Prize Committee, was warmly received by the international press and European viewers.

In the future Mupotoon LLC future plans to make and distribute the cartoon in three main formats:

  1. Desperate White House. A series consisting of 22 episodes, 26 minutes each. Revolving around the political life in the White House, the show will look at global affairs through the eyes of the people responsible for the routine daily functioning of the Oval Office.
  2. Integrated part of a political show. One episode of MuPoTOON is shown on a regular basis as part of a popular weekly political TV show.
  3. MuPoTOON iPhone application: up to 1 minute long animated snippets, dedicated to the hotest global political news of the day.
